Cool stuff! My favorite hand held flip books were presented by Kirsten Landis, Dominic Geiger, & Emily Painter. Here are a few cards. Jeeyoung Jung had the nicest board in my opinion & Scott Johnson had magnet cards & Hello stickers with sharpies to play with. Can't remember where the Darth Vador candy box came from, but it was a nice touch.

Week 10 Classchum Feedback
I spoke with Sasha Day, FM saashaday.com about my website this fine Seattle
evening. She had a couple of good ideas. One was to make my buttons change
to indicate mouse activity, another was to add descriptions to my work, and finally
to hotline my name to take the user back to the homepage.

Professional Feedback 4
I had
the pleasure of meeting with Doug Heinlein Director: School of Design:
The Art Institute of Seattle, to talk about my website. We went over how the
site could be improved and he offered samples of good design to aid in his
explanation of what he feels works nicely a for portfolio site. The main items
we covered were exploring scale, layout, and content. A site with large
photographs, clean, flat design with simple navigation seems to be popular.
Unification of font choices is important as well. Adorning thumbnail buttons
with intriguing alternate rollover states enhances the experience. Including
about four pictures of each project can help the user feel closer to the design.
The inclusion of a linked pdf of a full case study that is able to load quickly
is important to allow the viewer an understanding of the process and appli-
cation of the design.

Week 9 Peer Review
I spoke with Cotie Goozee FM of cotiegoozee.com.
The recommendations for my website were to put my name next to my

of the page.
I spoke with Destiny Graham FM of destineygrahamdesigns.com.
The recommendations for my website were to make a personalized homepage
and active thumbnails in color.

Site Analysis 3
Jen Pennington
http://www.rhizomedesign.com/
I felt the homepage to be interesting and functional. The body of works was
represented well and professional. I enjoyed the depth, which was presented
through the application of the designs in logo, print, video, and websites.
I would like to incorporate a more interesting homepage.

I enjoyed the amount of work displayed on her site, the load time was a bit slow,
but worth the wait. I really liked the application of her work into the many contexts
and hope to employ my work into a broader spectrum.
Juri Seo WDIM
I feel the content on this site to be very clean and full. I
enjoyed the video and
process displayed in a tidy way. I would like to display my process in a clean
manner like this.

Professional Feedback 3
I spoke with Robert Pennington, photography instructor,
about my site and
this was his feedback:
this was his feedback:
My navigation is simple, effective, but needs more depth.
My work represented is very editorial in nature and he would
like to see
more detail in creating, variety, or more depth in areas I would like to pursue.
more detail in creating, variety, or more depth in areas I would like to pursue.
His thoughts regarding my logo are that the a&m
were well blended, however
with the horizontal lines it appears very environmental (ocean and mountains)
and seems more corporate than personal.
My response was that I am from Colorado and now live in Seattle was the
inspiration for the design.

His response to my resume is that it is too thin and does
not set me apart
from other applicants. It minimizes my accomplishments.

He feels I have used too much white in my design and that my
artwork should
be more integrated into the over all look. Also, more typography development
is needed.

He noted that videos can be used if they are short, not
silly, and professional in
content and appearance.

Week 8 Peer Review
I had the opportunity to speak with Leanna Karg about her photography website cleanearthphotography.com. She had a really good attitude and was open to critique.
I mentioned altering two of the titles in her navigation, making thumbnails as part of
the navigation, making sure al of her photos were the same size top to bottom, and
making a choice between the two styles she currently has going on. I think it went
well and wish her luck.
